Vision Zero - Safety, Health & Wellbeing Association of India (SHWAI) is a national level initiative committed to creating a culture of prevention. Rooted in the global Vision Zero strategy launched by the International Social Security Association (ISSA), this Indian chapter adapts the approach to local contexts, industries, and communities.
Vision Zero- SHWAI aligns itself with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). The initiative seeks to support organizations in building safe, inclusive, and productive workplaces. It encourages the integration of psychosocial well-being, ergonomics, and mental health into OSH strategies leading to good corporate governance and sustainability.
The Association brings together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society. It promotes collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) for holistic sustainable development.
Vision Zero- SHWAI also acts as a platform for OSH professionals to grow and contribute. It works closely with technical and regulatory bodies to advocate for improved safety legislation and enforcement.
As a member, you'll connect with like-minded professionals, gain access to cutting-edge resources, training, and best practices, and contribute to building safer, healthier, and more productive environments in line with the global Vision Zero strategy.
