Globalization of trade, rapid industrialization and urbanization is an inevitable trend of socio-economic development. It is well known fact that people living in industrially advanced countries lead comparatively prosperous and comfortable life. However, enhancing material standards of living is not necessarily followed by enhancements in other vital components of life, such as wellbeing and overall life satisfaction.

Nations have hastily advanced in industrialization and urbanization process which has led to population migration, land use change, socio-cultural and environmental issues. Under the convincing circumstances we often face many challenges such as violation of human limits, environmental imbalance, and altering the cultural milieu.

In order to counter such situational influences a group of enlightened professionals have decided to join hands in making humanity safe & healthy and existing in the comfortable environment. Hence, the Safety, Health and Environment Organization (SHEORG) was conceived to generate, formulate, develop and sustain a national level voluntary campaign in health, safety and environment. It is an NGO (non-government organization) registered under trust act.

Objectives

• To carry out research studies and surveys for identifying different physical, mental, physiological, environmental, technological, social and cultural factors influencing the level of human wellbeing.
• To organize and conduct the safety, health and environment mass awareness camps, campaigns and exhibitions for providing the information for enhancing wellbeing.
• To organize and conduct the conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes for scientific and technical deliberations leading to the development of new strategies and approaches for improving Safety, Health and Environment; and sustainable development and growth.
